If you want to stain your wood storage shed, you might want to do that now. I left the shelves and side cladding raw wood to show off the beautiful rustic silver color. But, if you have new wood you can stain it as well. (I used two coats of Sherwin Williams SuperDeck Charwood color.)
Use - What you are going to use your new shed for is another factor that you need to consider. If your new shed is just for storing a few tools and say a bicycle, you really could get away with one of the many smaller semi-portable resin models available that are really easy to set up and require minimal ground space. Whereas if you plan to have shelves full of gardening supplies, lots of long handle tools and some power tools, a larger walk in shed would probably be a better option, as you will have enough room to get in amongst your things. Also if you plan on a bench and vice for a working set-up, you will need a shed that offers plenty of headroom – and some good reinforced flooring would also certainly not go amiss. .

A firewood storage shed is a straight-forward project if you choose the right plans for your needs and budget. In addition, this woodworking project would take only a full day of work, if you use appropriate materials and master the basic carpentry skills. As compared to other complex projects, building a simple firewood storage shed required common tools, such as: a circular saw, a drill machinery, a framing square and a tape measure.

Today… Other important things to know about wood storage sheds and LP SmartSide
I was very disappointed with the wait time to have the goal installed (5-6 weeks) & then told a week prior to arrival that the unit I wanted wasn't in stock. During the application process I was asked if the installers could leave the dirt from their dig and I said 'no.' They did anyhow. The goal is fine, but there is more give in it than I'd like. My sales rep was very good & she handled the stock issue very professionally, but overall I'm not very satisfied with the experience.

As you can see in the link above, building a shed is not the easiest of DIY projects, but it is one the average DIYer can accomplish themselves in a weekend.

This firewood shed will store exactly 3 cords of wood. I have done the calculus myself and I can attest that this is one roomy wood shed. As you can see in the diagram, this lean to shed has a wooden floor to protect the logs from moisture and a large opening on the front. The roof is made from 3/4″ plywood sheets and asphalt shingles, but you can easily convert it to metal sheets. MORE >>
Like all projects, the cost of your shed will largely depend on the size and material of choice. You can build most sheds with wood, metal or vinyl, all offering their own set of pros and cons.
A lean-to is normally attached to a building (bard, shed, garage or the side of the house) in order to provide economical shelter for equipment or vehicles.
